Terravia

Summer

Far away, the horizon spits out the sun,
Clambering upwards, burning as she goes.
A dictator's wrath,
Cracking the earth below.

Her rays lash out in cosmic distain,
Scorcing the world with a fiery fury.
Heatwaves collapse on those that dares exist,
Burning the land, indifferent to the worry.

In an endless arc she persists
Her unblinking eye fixed, unyeilding.
Until, at last, exhausted she sinks
Swallowed once more by the horizon.
