Here's how my pictures look like that
- So to get images to look like those I take you first need to actually get a camera, you can you use your phone camera
- Next you want to increase the contrast and saturation as much as possible

- Then I import it into aseprite, any program with a color pallete and color modes will probably work
- I then set the aspect ratio of the image to 1:1, this isn't necsarry, by I like doing this
- This step is technically optionaly, but if you want to be able to see the dithering, set your image size to about 25%, you want a image that is about 500 pixels or less in width
- Then you select a color pallete you like, or you can make one, it is best to experiment here, and do a lot of experimenting. I typically use bublegum16 or my own pallete called frozeninferno
- Then select sprite>color mode>more options
- In the menu that will pop up click on the dithering type and select Floyd-Seinberg Error Diffusion Dithering
- And then finally click ok and your done
